We are committed to putting back the puzzle pieces of an impaired ecosystem.
E3KFM is devoted to repairing and restoring local habitat in the San Luis Valley by:
Facilitating the gradual reintroduction of Beaver.
Using land rehydration techniques such as Low Tech Process Based Restoration installations in accordance with SB270.
Hosting Community Fire Mitigation training days in addition to the current techniques used in the valley.
Where safe; using prescribed fire as part of a long term plan to restore their health and ability to survive drought, beetle kill, soil erosion and other environmental threats. We assist local people and groups in managing fire through self reliance, self responsibility, and progressive land management
Using ORMUS and Effective Micro-organisms where prescribed fire is not an available method of restoration
Educating local children and adults alike regarding the local environment and how we can protect it.
Helping land owners assess their land and ways they can nourish and enrich it.
Recognize balancing the elements in an ecosystem as an essential part of holistic stewardship.
